Hydrogen is rapidly emerging as a game-changer for policymakers, economic development leaders, and transportation innovators, presenting extraordinary opportunities for innovation, growth, and sustainable economic transformation as a clean energy solution around the world, throughout the country, and in the state of Georgia.

In an effort to promote the benefits of this zero-emission fuel source, Clean Cities Georgia recently announced the Georgia Hydrogen Summit, which will take place December 4, 2025, at the Historic Academy of Medicine. In partnership with the Southern Hydrogen Energy Alliance (SHEA), Georgia Institute of Technology, and Southern Company, the Summit will bring together businesses and organizations that wish to be at the forefront of adopting hydrogen energy within Georgia and throughout the Southeast.

The event will highlight the state’s embrace of hydrogen’s potential to play a pivotal role in supporting its goals for economic development, air quality improvement, and energy resilience. With hydrogen expected to be at the center of clean transportation efforts in Georgia and the Southeast for years to come, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss.

This year’s Summit will feature multiple panels and speakers, demonstrating hydrogen’s transformative potential, sharing actionable insights and strategies on hydrogen integration, and offering networking opportunities to open the door for potential partnerships. The Summit will allow attendees to share strategies and connections to promote hydrogen energy, as well as advancing their own companies’ successes.

Executive Director of Clean Cities Georgia, Frank Morris, shares that “aside from the Hydrogen Braintrust co-hosted by Senator Ossoff and Public Service Commissioner Echols, this is the first opportunity of its kind in Georgia for those of us who want to learn more and understand more about hydrogen. We hope you join us in driving hydrogen’s role as an innovative transportation alternative in the Southeast.”

We appreciate the contributions of SHEA, Georgia Tech, and Southern Company in organizing this event. Clean Cities Georgia is dedicated to the promotion of energy alternatives within Georgia and guiding the state towards a cleaner, greener future.
