Mr. Lorentzen, a Senior Vice President at TRC, has over twenty-five years of experience in clean energy innovation and commercialization. His work, career and life’s passion are focused on helping to grow businesses while improving the lives of people and our planet. He serves the national lead for TRC’s Distributed Energy Resources and Microgrid team, a team that has developed and managed large scale DER projects and programs across the nation, including multiple award-winning projects. He has developed and implemented transformative statewide energy efficiency programs in multiple states improving the energy efficiency and building performance of K-12 Schools, multifamily buildings, and commercial and industrial facilities. He has served as the executive in charge for multiple large-scale utility-owned energy storage projects including Eversource’s BESS located in Cape Cod and NYPA’s BESS located in upstate New York State. He has also led the development of virtual power plant program in CA and one of the nation’s most successful microgrid programs in CT.
