Professor John Frala of Rio Hondo College has more than 50 years of alternative fuel and advanced vehicle technology experience. He is a California Board of Governors’ recipient of the prestigious Exemplary Program for 2019 and is the Distinguished Faculty recipient for 2019. Professor Frala has written many successful grants funding California’s only Associates of Science degree program in alternative fuel technology and the only Associates of Science degree in electric vehicle/fuel cell technology.
